Community Outreach Programs Sponsorship
FPBS and its 26 PBS and NPR member stations throughout the state celebrate diversity in Florida.
Florida stations offer a wide variety of programs that address important diversity and community issues. Programming differs by member station and by market.
Educational Outreach Programs Sponsorship
FPBS is involved with the leading educational initiatives in Florida. We partner with Florida’s Department of Education to operate Ready to Learn, the state’s largest literacy program helping at-risk, low income children.
Ready to Learn workshops in Florida markets provide grassroots support in helping young children to learn to read. Ready to Learn coordinators work with pre-K and kindergarten students and in running educational workshops that provide free books and learning to students, parents and caregivers.
Companies that sponsor educational outreach receive an integrated media program that combines PBS KIDS programming and Ready to Learn workshops.
Volunteer
Volunteers are key members of the public broadcasting family. They help perform vital functions at our member stations. Contact your local station for more information.
